When you break down our organization's work, so much of it is really about CONNECTIONS - be it a relationship with a potential new employer or even a connection to living in this particular region of North Carolina.

To this point, we have admittedly neglected building a COMMUNITY around the active and prior military/military spouses that already call the Hickory Metro "home".  Our work over the past 2-3 years has shown us the error of our ways and the increased need for a regional effort to better connect this military community through professional and social networking opportunities.

We are calling this newly-created group, HKY4Vets Professional Connections (PC) and we intend to ensure the group's quarterly events are:

• Open and welcoming to all active and prior military, military spouses and supportive employers/allies
• Free of charge to participate
• Building up individuals with long-lasting relationships that may benefit them socially and/or professionally
• Focusing on the value-add and how each successive event/meetup can improve upon the last
